Hands-On Review

What We Loved

Tubi is incredible because it genuinely delivers on its promise: free, high-quality streaming. The catalog is massive and surprisingly deep, heavily featuring classic 80s and 90s titles that are hard to find on Netflix or Prime. The app works flawlessly across various platforms (mobile, tablet, and smart TVs). Creating an account allows you to sync your watch progress across all your devices, which is a great premium feature offered for free.

What We Didn't Like

Because it is a 100% free app, it is entirely ad-supported (AVOD). You will experience unskippable ad breaks during your movies. While the ads are generally short, their frequency can sometimes interrupt the pacing of a good film. Additionally, streaming video can consume cellular data quite quickly, so users must be mindful when not connected to Wi-Fi.

Final Verdict

If you want to cut your streaming subscription costs or just love discovering hidden gem movies and classic TV shows, Tubi is an absolute necessity. It is arguably the best fully free streaming app available today.
